Why You Can’t Switch Off Anymore
Understanding Your Nervous System & Managing Stress

Wednesday
6th May,
7:00pm-8:30pm

Woollahra Sailing Club

A supportive and practical evening to help you feel calmer and more regulated in your body and mind.

Understanding your nervous system - and how it drives your stress patterns

Everyone is talking about the nervous system and being “regulated”… but what does that actually mean?

What is a dysregulated nervous system?

What does it feel like when you are regulated?

And how do these different states impact the way you respond when life gets stressful?

As women, we carry a lot - for our families, our work, and the people around us. The ‘sandwich years’ can be tough.

Over time, that can take its toll.

We can find ourselves feeling exhausted, burnt out, overwhelmed, anxious or constantly stressed.

And in the world we’re living in right now, it’s no surprise. There’s a lot to deal with.

But it doesn’t have to stay this way

With the right awareness and understanding of your nervous system, you can begin to recognise your stress patterns - and learn what helps you come back to calm.

It starts with awareness… and then action.

Join us for a practical and supportive evening where we’ll explore:

  • How the nervous system works

  • How stress shows up in your body

  • The different nervous system states (fight, flight, freeze)

  • Why you can feel “on” and unable to switch off

  • Simple ways to regulate your nervous system
