Pause to Unpause

LAUNCH EVENT

Wednesday 18th June, 6:30 to 8:00pm

Woollahra Sailing Club

Our first event

Wednesday 18th June,
6:30 to 8:00pm

Melody Woolford, breathwork facilitator, will share how breath can calm the nervous system and guide us through a gentle breathwork session on the night.

Dr Jo Bruce, menopause specialist and co-founder of Myma Health (a GP clinic focused on evidence-based women’s health), will speak about perimenopause, menopause, and HRT. She’ll explore how fluctuating hormones can impact many areas of our physical and mental wellbeing, and how HRT can support symptom management as well as both short and long-term health.

Future Pause to Unpause events

Each event begins with a practice for nervous system regulation or stress management because staying calm when life is throwing things at you is one of the keys to long-term health and clarity. When we’re overwhelmed or depleted, it’s hard to make clear decisions or feel steady in ourselves.

These practices may include breathwork, meditation, sound healing, yoga nidra, mindfulness, and more.

We'll also hear from a guest expert each month, covering topics that matter most to women in midlife,
such as:

Perimenopause and menopause

Mental health, mood shifts, and brain fog

Sleep and nervous system recovery

Gut health and hormones

Pelvic floor health

Sex, libido, and pleasure

Nutrition

Movement and strength

Alcohol in midlife

Relationships and communication

Identity and reinvention

Body image and confidence

Heart, bone, and brain health

Financial wellbeing and future planning

There’s so much to unpack. My hope is that these evenings become a calming space where you can slow down, reconnect, and feel supported.

Each event will close with refreshments and time to chat, because connection and community are the best medicine for long term health and wellbeing!
