GSM (Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause) & Pelvic Health

There are things that happen to our bodies in perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause that often we don't talk about.

Not with our friends, not with our partners, not with our GP, sometimes not even with ourselves.

Leaking when you laugh or sneeze. Sex that's become uncomfortable or painful. Needing to pee constantly, or getting UTI after UTI. A heaviness or dragging feeling you can't quite explain. Wondering if what you're feeling is a prolapse – and having no idea what to do if it is.

Many of us just don't know who to see or talk to about this, or we may have been dismissed by our doctors and made to feel like this is just part of getting older.

Here's the good news – it doesn't have to be. There is so much that can be done, both medically and holistically, and maybe no one has ever taken the time to explain it to you.

This recording of from an Aio Wellness Pause to Unpase event originally held on 18 October 2026.

Featuring two of Sydney's most respected women's health practitioners – Lyz Evans, pelvic floor physiotherapist and founder of Women in Focus Physiotherapy, and Dr Basia Lowes, obstetrician, gynaecologist and advanced laparoscopic surgeon – this event explores the changes women experience through perimenopause, menopause and beyond, the treatment options available, and where to turn for help.
