The Relationship Edit
Which relationships to rebuild, which to release & which just need new terms

Wednesday
16th September,
7:00pm-8:30pm

Woollahra Sailing Club

Midlife changes us. We often want different things, we've grown, we see ourselves differently. But the people around us don't always change at the same pace and that gap is where things get complicated.

Maybe it's a friendship that used to feel easy and now feels like work. Maybe it's a marriage on autopilot, just going through the motions. Maybe it's your relationship with your adult kids - still at home, going from parent to something more like housemates. Maybe it's parents who once looked after you and now need you to look after them.

The hard part isn't knowing that something's changed. It's knowing what to do about it - which relationships are worth rebuilding, which might need releasing, and which just need new terms.

Join us for an evening with relationship therapist Rachel Voysey, where we'll talk honestly about:

  • How to tell the difference between a relationship worth rebuilding and one worth releasing

  • Why some friendships become toxic over time, and how to spot it before it drains you further

  • Navigating romantic relationships when one (or both) of you have changed

  • Adult kids still living at home - going from parent to something more like housemates

  • The guilt that comes with wanting different things to the people around you

  • Navigating the changing relationship with ageing parents - when you become the one looking after them

  • How to step away from relationships that genuinely aren't working for you anymore

  • Coping when someone else decides they no longer want a relationship with you - being ghosted or pushed away

You'll leave with:

  • A clearer way to tell the difference between a relationship worth the work and one you're ready to release

  • Practical language and actions for renegotiating relationships that have outgrown their old shape

  • More clarity navigating your relationship with your adult kids

  • Permission to put your own needs back into relationships where you've quietly disappeared

  • A room full of women who get it and maybe a few new friendships of your own

An evening about the relationships that are changing in your life - and how to navigate them.
